The City University of New York Athletic Conference annually recognizes its best and brightest student-athletes, who not only excel in athletics, but succeed in the classroom as well. Over the next few weeks, CUNYAC will recognize those who truly embody what it means to be a student-athlete.
Amanda Lee, a member of the Bearcat's cross country and swimming programs, holds a superb 3.84 grade-point average, majoring in Marketing with a minor in Mathematics. The Douglastown native is Baruch's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) President.
In the pool, Lee earned CUNYAC All-Star honors in all three seasons of competition, guiding Baruch to conference championships in back-to-back campaigns (2018, 2019). The team captain is a two-time league champion in the 200-yard individual medley and owns a gold medal in the 100-yard freestyle. Lee has also excelled as a teammate, swimming a leg in 10 CUNYAC gold medal relay performances.
Last season, Lee was a four-time CUNYAC Swimmer of the Week honoree and was tabbed Baruch Women's Swimming Team MVP.
At Baruch, Lee holds two school records, a team record for most points scored in a single season and is on Baruch's Top 10 Women's All-Time Scorer List.
Lee has been a member of the cross-country squad for two seasons. The co-captain recorded a top-20 finish at the 2019 CUNYAC Cross Country Championships.
Outside of the pool, Lee was named the CUNYAC Scholar Athlete of the Month for November (2019) and is on the honor rolls for CUNYAC Scholar-Athlete, Baruch Athletic Director's Academic List, and the College Swimming Coaches Athletic Association (CSCAA).
