The City University of New York Athletic Conference annually recognizes its best and brightest student-athletes, who not only excel in athletics, but succeed in the classroom as well. Over the next few weeks, CUNYAC will recognize those who truly embody what it means to be a student-athlete.
Rohan Mathur, a member of the Brooklyn College men’s tennis team, owns an impressive 3.87 grade-point average, majoring in Communications while on a Pre-Med track.
The Dix Hills native was quickly inserted right toward the top of the lineup in both singles and doubles. In two seasons of action, Mathur compiled a 16-4 (7-1 CUNYAC) singles record and posted a 16-9 (8-2 CUNYAC) mark in doubles.
In 2018, Mathur was tabbed CUNYAC Rookie of the Year, the first Bulldog to earn the citation since Ben Forberg in 2007.
Respected by his peers for his leadership qualities, work ethic, and ability to overcome adversity, Rohan was named team captain prior to the start of the 2020 season.
