The City University of New York Athletic Conference annually recognizes its best and brightest student-athletes, who not only excel in athletics, but succeed in the classroom as well. Over the next few weeks, CUNYAC will recognize those who truly embody what it means to be a student-athlete.
Michael Hyde, a student-athlete at John Jay College, carries an outstanding 3.855 cumulative grade-point average. Hyde had a decorated three-year career as a member of the rifle program.
The captain notched two MAC championships during his time as a Bloodhound. In his junior campaign against MIT, he fired a personal-best 574 in air rifle and a personal-high score of 551 in smallbore.
A criminal justice management major, Hyde was accepted into the dual degree program at John Jay to add a Master's of Public Administration to his resume.
