2025-26 CUNYAC Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year: Paz Moran, Baruch

Paz Moran has been a standout for the Baruch College women’s cross country team ever since joining ahead of the 2023 season.

On the track, Moran is a three-time CUNYAC individual cross country champion (2023, 2024 and 2025).  She was also named the conference’s Performer of the Year in 2023 and 2024 and named to the All-Conference team three times.  During her tenure with the Bearcats, she set a pair of program records. She also competed in the ECAC Championship in 2023, earning a fourth place finish.

An International Communication and Political Science double major who is also minoring in Theater, Moran has compiled a 3.943 GPA at Baruch.  A six-time Dean’s List member and three-time CUNYAC semester scholar-athlete, Moran is a candidate for this year’s Baruch Valedictorian and a Provost Honors Student.

A member of SAAC, Moran served as the group’s Vice President of Events in 2023-24.  During her tenure at Baruch, she has served as a news anchors, staff writer and multimedia editor at The Ticker, Baruch’s student newspaper, been a senator in the Undergraduate Student Government, a CUNY delegate for Model United Nations, and the UNICEF at Baruch Vice President for Events.

Also heavily involved in the Baruch community, Moran has been a Spanish tutor, interned with CUNY Central Office of Communications and the Baruch sports information department and interned with several other news organizations.

As a Theater minor, Moran has dedicated her time to performing in Baruch plays and musicals as lead actress and in supporting roles, appearing in two plays and two musicals. She cites her favorite role as playing the lead of Nora in A Doll’s House during a production this fall at the Bernie West Theater.
