CUNYAC Scholar Athlete of the Year: Rimsha Razi, York

The City University of New York Athletic Conference annually recognizes its best and brightest student-athletes, who not only excel in athletics, but succeed in the classroom as well. Over the next few weeks, CUNYAC will recognize those who truly embody what it means to be a student-athlete.

Rimsha Razi, a multi-sport student-athlete at York College, holds an impressive 3.659 grade-point average as an Aviation Management major. The Queens native was a member of the women's tennis (2018-20) and track & field teams (2019-20) during her time as a Cardinal.

Razi played singles and doubles in 19 matches from 2018-19, including a CUNYAC Women's Tennis Championship first-round matchup against John Jay College in York's return to postseason play for the first time since 2014.

Razi has been recognized with CUNYAC Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll laurels, and in 2020, Rimsha garnered an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete distinction. A student-athlete mentor, Rimsha is a six-time Dean's List honoree and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Team Representative (tennis).
