The City University of New York Athletic Conference annually recognizes its best and brightest student-athletes, who not only excel in athletics, but succeed in the classroom as well. Over the next few weeks, CUNYAC will recognize those who truly embody what it means to be a student-athlete.
AnneMarie Rivera, a member of the John Jay College softball team, owns a whopping 3.823 grade-point average, majoring in Criminal Justice.
A three-year starter, AnneMarie led the Bloodhounds both at bat and in the circle. The first baseman recorded 52 hits, 39 runs batted in, 30 runs scored, 18 doubles, 13 walks, and 10 stolen bases. In addition, the left-handed pitcher logged 131 innings and struck out 74 batters. In 2019, she was voted a CUNYAC All-Star.
