The City University of New York Athletic Conference annually recognizes its best and brightest student-athletes, who not only excel in athletics, but succeed in the classroom as well. Over the next few weeks, CUNYAC will recognize those who truly embody what it means to be a student-athlete.
Stella Chung, a member of the Baruch College women's volleyball team, owns a perfect 4.0 grade-point average, majoring in Computer Information Systems. A native of Staten Island, Chung is a Macaulay Honors College student.
A two-year team captain, Chung was voted a CUNYAC Second Team All-Star in 2018 and 2019, and following her freshman year was named Baruch Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Year.
Academically, in both the Spring 2020 and Fall 2019 semesters, Stella was on the Athletic Directors Academic Honor Roll. In addition, Chung was tabbed CUNYAC Scholar-Athlete of the Month in October of 2019.
Off the court, she went on a service trip in the summer of 2018 to Puerto Rico to help victims of Hurricane Maria.
