The City University of New York Athletic Conference annually recognizes its best and brightest student-athletes, who not only excel in athletics, but succeed in the classroom as well. Over the next few weeks, CUNYAC will recognize those who truly embody what it means to be a student-athlete.
Brittney Salvador, a member of the Hunter College softball team, carries a strong 3.554 grade-point average as a Chemistry major in the Special Honors College.
A two-time CUNYAC All-Star, Salvador appeared in 93 games for the Hawks with a career batting average of .356 and a fielding percentage of .923. Salvador racked up 93 hits, 82 runs batted in (RBI), 58 runs scored and 11 home runs.
In 2019, Salvador batted .415 and led the team in hits, home runs, RBIs and total bases, guiding Hunter to its first regular season title since 2009.
Salvador's postgraduate plans include attending medical school.
