The City University of New York Athletic Conference annually recognizes its best and brightest student-athletes, who not only excel in athletics, but succeed in the classroom as well. Over the next few weeks, CUNYAC will recognize those who truly embody what it means to be a student-athlete.
Rockella Sanon, a member of the Medgar Evers College women's soccer team, carries a 3.369 grade-point average. The Brooklyn native is a Media and The Performing Arts major with a minor in English Writing.
Sanon started five games for the Cougars in 2019, playing the full number of minutes (90) in three contests. As a new player on the team, Sanon always came to practice with an open mind, excited to learn the new sport.
Off the field, Sanon serves as Medgar Evers College Senior Class President.
