The City University of New York Athletic Conference annually recognizes its best and brightest student-athletes, who not only excel in athletics, but succeed in the classroom as well. Over the next few weeks, CUNYAC will recognize those who truly embody what it means to be a student-athlete. The award is presented by Hospital for Special Surgery, the official hospital of the CUNY Athletic Conference.
Tristiana Adragna, a multi-sport student-athlete at the College of Staten Island, boasts a spectacular 3.91 grade-point average, majoring in Psychology within the Macaulay Honors College. Macaulay Honors College at CUNY is a highly selective college where New York's most promising students receive the financial and academic support to realize their leadership potential.
Adragna showed off her versatility with the Dolphins, competing year-round. She runs cross country and competes on the tennis team in the fall, while lending her talents to both the indoor and outdoor track and field teams in the winter and spring seasons.
Adragna is a three-time CUNYAC All-Star in the sport of cross country, in addition to being a CUNYAC All-Star and All-Sportsmanship Team honoree in the sport of women's tennis.
The Staten Island native is a part of several CSI school records in the sport of track and field, including the indoor 1,000-meter, outdoor 400m and outdoor 4x400m relay. This year, she reached the podium with a bronze medal performance in the 800m at the conference indoor championships.
