Talk About It Tuesdays Recap: CUNY Athletic Conference Town Hall

FLUSHING, N.Y. - The City University of New York Athletic Conference held its fifth town hall discussion as a part of the conference’s ‘Talk About It Tuesdays’ webinar series. Talk About It Tuesdays is programming provided by the conference to serve as educational resources for our student body across CUNY's 25 campuses.

The session featured CUNY Chancellor, Félix V. Matos Rodríguez, and CUNY Executive Vice Chancellor and Chief Operating Officer, Hector Batista. The CUNY officials addressed student-athletes, coaches and administrators following the announcement that spring sports competition will be cancelled for the 2020-21 year.

Moderated by CUNYAC Commissioner, Zak Ivkovic, the group closed out the session with an open forum, allowing for attendees to ask questions as a follow up to the conference's first four town halls on Aug. 25, Sept. 29, Dec 1 and Jan. 26.

Below is a replay of the broadcast:

Tuesday's broadcast is a part of several sessions hosted by the CUNY Athletic Conference. The series comprises several programs, ranging from: preparing for the upcoming season mental health, on campus support systems, recruiting and social media, among other programming topics relevant to our students amidst these unprecedented times of the global COVID-19 pandemic.
