FLUSHING, N.Y. – The City University of New York Athletic Conference held its latest Talk About It Tuesdays webinar, highlighting former conference student-athletes. Talk About It Tuesdays is programming provided by the conference to serve as educational resources for our student body across CUNY's 25 campuses.
The latest installment featured
Connie Magnus-Melendez, a 1984 alum and former softball player at John Jay College,
Donald Gannon, a 2012 alum of John Jay and former baseball and basketball player at Lehman, and
Shawn McCartney, a 1995 alum and CUNYAC’s all-time leading scorer in basketball from Hunter.

Ryan Martin, the group held a conversation about their lives as student-athletes and their chosen career path into law enforcement. The group also shared advice to current student-athletes though a Q&A session.

Tuesday's broadcast is a part of several sessions hosted by the CUNY Athletic Conference. The series comprises several programs, ranging from: preparing for the upcoming season mental health, on campus support systems, recruiting and social media, among other programming topics relevant to our students amidst these unprecedented times of the global COVID-19 pandemic.
