Talk About It Tuesdays Recap: Improving My Mental Health and Wellness

FLUSHING, N.Y. – The City University of New York Athletic Conference continued its 'Talk About It Tuesdays' webinar series with its latest installment, 'Improving My Mental Health and Wellness,' featuring HealthFirst.

The programming featured Dr. Jin Yee Yoon-Hudman, HealthFirst AVP Medical Director, Robert Cortes, Assistant Director of Outreach at BMCC, and Dr. Gerard Bryant, Director of Counseling Services and Faculty Athletics Representative at John Jay.

Hosted by CUNY's Inclusive Sports Advisor Ryan Martin, the group held a great discussion, engaging in conversation about learning how to cope with anxiety and stress. The panelists provided tips on how to prevent burnout while sharing resources available to help improve mental health. Click here to view the panelists' presentation.

Tuesday's broadcast is a part of several sessions hosted by the CUNY Athletic Conference. Talk About It Tuesdays is programming provided by the conference to serve as educational resources for our student body across CUNY's 25 campuses.

The series comprises several programs, ranging from: preparing for the upcoming season mental health, on campus support systems, recruiting and social media, among other programming topics relevant to our students amidst these unprecedented times of the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Each of the sessions are free, but registration is required. An abbreviated recap will be available on YouTube and cunyathletics.com soon after each webinar.
