CUNYAC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week
Jadyn Orava, John Jay (So., OH, Gilbert, Ariz.)
Orava totaled 60 kills on .445 hitting and added 18 digs in a 3-0 week for the Bloodhounds to wrap up the regular season, averaging 6.67 kills and 2.0 digs per set. In a 3-1 win against Mount Saint Mary on Saturday, Orava racked up 30 kills on .587 hitting and tallied 11 digs.
CUNYAC Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Adrienne Xiao, John Jay (Fr., S, La Verne, Calif.)
Xiao notched 69 assists (9.86 a/s) and added 12 digs and 12 service aces in a 3-0 week for John Jay. After handing out 13 assists in a league win over Lehman Tuesday, Xiao posted 28 assists apiece in a 3-0 win over New Jersey City and a 3-1 win against Mount Saint Mary on Saturday. She also registered eight service aces in the four-set win against the Knights.
CUNYAC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week (Honorable Mention)
Madeline Snyder, Hunter (Jr., S, Phoenix, Ariz.)
In three matches last week, Snyder recorded 84 assists (7.0 a/s) and 45 digs (3.75 d/s) for the Hawks. She had 25 assists and 16 digs against Baruch in the conference finale Tuesday, then posted 32 assists and 15 digs against Merchant Marine and 27 assists and 14 digs against Vassar Saturday.
