CUNYAC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week
Jadyn Orava, John Jay (So., OH, Gilbert, Ariz.)
Orava claimed her fifth Player of the Week award in a 3-1 week for the Bloodhounds. She totaled 92 kills on .292 hitting, including 28 kills on .387 hitting in a 3-1 win over Rutgers-Newark Saturday. Orava racked up 40 digs, including 16 in a 3-2 win at FDU-Florham. She added eight service aces and four total blocks for the week.
CUNYAC Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Adrienne Xiao, John Jay (Fr., S, La Verne, Calif.)
Xiao compiled 162 assists (9.53 a/s) in a 3-1 week for the Bloodhounds while adding 36 digs and three service aces. She racked up 52 assists and 14 digs in a 3-1 victory against Rutgers-Newark on Saturday, while posting 36 assists and 10 digs in a road victory at FDU-Florham Thursday.
CUNYAC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week (Honorable Mention)
Karen Pozo Castro, Baruch (Jr., S, Guayaquil, Ecuador)
Pozo Castro racked up 40 assists in the Bearcats' lone match last week, a 3-1 win against Centenary (N.J.) on Tuesday. She recorded her 1,000th career assist during the match while also adding four service aces and four kills on six attempts.
