CUNYAC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week
Jadyn Orava, John Jay (So., OH, Gilbert, Ariz.)
Orava shined in her John Jay debut, racking up 26 kills and hitting .300 in a split of a tri-match against Colby-Sawyer and New Jersey City Friday. She had 20 kills on .472 hitting in a 3-1 win over the Chargers. Orava also registered double-digit digs in both contests, posting 11 against NJCU and 10 against CSC, while also adding four service aces.
CUNYAC Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Adrienne Xiao, John Jay (Fr., S, La Verne, Calif.)
Xiao registered 58 assists in two matches on Friday, including 43 in a four-set win over Colby-Sawyer. In the first match of the day, Xiao notched 15 assists, five digs and a pair of kills before notching 43 kills and 15 digs in the nightcap against the Chargers.
CUNYAC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week (Honorable Mention)
Dibjot Kaur, Baruch (Sr., OH, Monroe, N.J.)
Kaur racked up 46 kills in four matches at the Red Dragon Invitational on Friday and Saturday, including a pair of 15-kill efforts against SUNY Geneseo and SUNY Oneonta. She also finished the tournament with 42 digs, including 17 against the Knights on Friday evening.
