CUNYAC Men's Swimming Swimmer of the Week
Ramiel Fayngersh, Baruch (Jr., Lynbrook, N.Y.)
Fayngersh led the Bearcats to a seventh place finish at the ECAC Winter Championships over the weekend. He recorded four 11th place finishes, including the 200 breaststroke in 2:08.49. Fayngersh swam the 100 breaststroke in 57.49 seconds. Both times are currently tops in the conference.
CUNYAC Men's Swimming Rookie of the Week
Tenzin Gurung, Baruch (Fr., East Elmhurst, N.Y.)
Gurung swam at the ECAC Winter Championships and posted the top time in the conference in the 100 backstroke (55.83) and the 200 backstroke (2:03.36). He also competed individually in the 100 fly (55.16) and the 200 fly (2:17.02).
CUNYAC Men's Swimming Swimmer of the Week (Honorable Mention)
Michael Kravets, Brooklyn (Sr., Brooklyn, N.Y.)
On November 25, Kravets won the 1000 freestyle (11:20.31) and 500 free (5:28.87) in a non-conference victory at St. Joseph's Long Island. He would also finish first in the 1650 freestyle (17:44.48), 500 freestyle (5:13.97), and 100 butterfly (55.66) in a non-conference victory over William Paterson on Saturday. His 500 and 1650 free times are No.1 in the CUNYAC.
