CUNYAC Men's Swimming Swimmer of the Week
Daniel Vasilkoff, Baruch (Sr., Gravesend, N.Y.)
Vasilkoff posted seven wins in eight events as the Bearcats opened the season against Ramapo (10/18) and William Paterson (10/24). Against the Roadrunners Vasilkoff was first in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.34), the 200 IM (2:10.70) and as part of the 200 freestyle relay (1:31.26). In the meet against the Pioneers he touched the wall first in the 50 free (22.59) and the 200 breaststroke (2:20.34) and was part of the winning 200 medley relay (1:43.39) and 200 freestyle relay (1:31.26).
CUNYAC Men's Swimming Rookie of the Week
Alexander Boyarsky, Baruch (Fr., Rockaway Beach, N.Y.)
Boyarsky had three first place finishes over the first two meets of the season. He was part of the winning 200 freestyle relay against Ramapo (1:31.26), while against William Paterson Boyarsky took top honors in the 200 freestyle (1:52.74) and the 100 fly (56.69).
CUNYAC Men's Swimming Swimmer of the Week (Honorable Mention)
Michael Kravets, Brooklyn (Jr., Brooklyn, N.Y.)
In a season-opening win over Mount Saint Mary Saturday, Kravets placed first in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 11:20.31. He also took first in the 500 freestyle (5:28.12) and the 100 fly (55.81).
