2026 CUNYAC Women's Tennis All-Conference Awards and Teams Announced

NEW YORK - The 2026 CUNY Athletic Conference women's tennis All-Conference awards and teams were announced Monday morning.

Baruch senior Aishika Yadav was named the conference's Player of the Year for the second straight year.  Bearcat freshman Anusha Yadav earned Rookie of the Year honors, while Pratt head coach Iñigo Torre Martin was selected by his peers as the Coach of the Year.  Lehman's Awa Ndiaye was honored as the recipient of the Sportsmanship Award.

Player of the Year

Aishika Yadav, Baruch (Sr., Fresh Meadows, N.Y.)

With Yadav's second straight selection as Player of the Year, a Baruch player has earned the award in each of the past seven seasons.

A two-time CUNYAC Player of the Week, Yadav was unbeaten in singles play, going 11-0 and 6-0 in conference during the regular season at No. 1. Against conference competition she won all of her matches in straight sets. In doubles action, Yadav went 7-3 and 3-1 in conference.

Rookie of the Year

Anusha Yadav, Baruch (Fr., Fresh Meadows, N.Y.)

Yadav is the first Rookie of the Year for the Bearcats since sister Aishika captured the award in 2023.

Playing primarily at No. 2, Yadav, a four-time CUNYAC Rookie of the Week, finished 10-2 overall, including 9-1 at the No. 2 spot. In conference play she went 5-1 overall at No. 2. In doubles competition Yadav was 9-3 overall and 4-1 against CUNYAC foes.

Coach of the Year

Iñigo Torre Martin, Pratt

In Pratt's first year in the conference as an affiliate member, Martin guided the Cannoneers to a regular season championship and an overall 8-0 record in the regular season, including 6-0 against conference foes.

Pratt reached the conference final, falling to Hunter in a hotly-contested 4-2 final. The Cannoneers finished with four players earning All-Conference honors.
