2025-26 Women's Swimming & Diving Postseason Awards, All-Conference Team Announced

NEW YORK- The City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) announced its 2025-26 women's swimming and diving postseason awards and All-Conference team on Thursday morning.

Baruch junior Allyse Alexander was selected as the Swimmer of the Year for the second straight year, while Hunter's Grace Valette was selected as the Rookie of the Year.  Baruch head coach Charles Lampasso was tabbed as the Coach of the Year.

John Jay's Luciana Uriarte was voted as the winner of the Sportsmanship Award.

Swimmer of the Year: Allyse Alexander, Baruch

Alexander is the first swimmer to repeat as Swimmer of the Year since Baruch's Julia Sung won the award three straight seasons from 2012-14. She was a two-time conference Swimmer of the Week during the regular season.

Alexander posted the fastest time in the conference in six different events (50 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 butterfly, 200 butterfly, 200 individual medley, 400 IM), setting a conference record during the season in the 100 butterfly (58.87).  During the conference championship, Alexander earned Most Valuable Performer honors for the second straight year after winning gold in the 100 breaststroke, 200 IM and 200 butterfly, while also being a part of four winning Bearcat relays. She also set a conference and championship record in the 50 freestyle (24.62) swimming the opening leg of the 200 freestyle relay.

Rookie of the Year: Grace Valette, Hunter

A four-time Swimmer of the Week and two-time Rookie of the Week during the regular season, Valette is the Hawks' first Rookie of the Year since Sarah Decker in 2020.

Valette posted the fastest time in the conference in six events (100 freestyle, 200 free, 500 free, 1000 free, 1650 free, 100 backstroke) during the season.  At the conference championship, Valette led the Hawks to their sixth straight title with wins in the 500 freestyle, 1650 freestyle and 100 backstroke.  During the season she set a conference record in the 100 freestyle (54.04).

Coach of the Year: Charles Lampasso, Baruch

Lampasso earned women's Coach of the Year honors for the second straight year and fourth time in his career.  This season, he guided the Bearcats to a second place finish during the regular season with a 4-1 conference record, as well as a second place finish at the conference championship.  The Bearcats won gold 10 times at the conference championship.
