CUNYAC Women's Tennis Weekly Report 10/20/26

Yadav went undefeated with three singles victories and two doubles wins during the week. The senior won at No. 1 singles against York (6-0, 6-0), Pratt (6-4, 6-2) and Brooklyn (6-4, 6-0), improving to 9-0 at the top flight this season. Yadav also registered wins at No. 1 doubles against Pratt and Brooklyn. She increased her career singles win total to 54, the second-most in program history.

CUNYAC Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week
Elva Yu, Pratt (Fr., Spring, Texas)

Yu won both of her No. 5 singles matches, dropping just two games across four sets as Pratt secured the CUNYAC regular-season title. The freshman teamed with Sophia Schafler for a 6-0 win at No. 3 doubles against Baruch before earning a 6-0, 6-0 singles victory. She then clinched Pratt’s 4-3 victory over Hunter with a 6-1, 6-1 singles win, improving to 6-0 in singles this season.

CUNYAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week (Honorable Mention)
Beatrice Crespo, Pratt (Sr., Kearny, N.J.)

Crespo went 3-0 at No. 2 singles and 2-1 at No. 1 doubles as Pratt won all three matches to clinch the CUNYAC regular-season title. The senior won each singles match in straight sets, including a 6-2, 6-2 victory that clinched the win over Baruch. In the title-deciding 4-3 victory over Hunter, she partnered with Pallavi Verghese for a 6-1 doubles win before earning a 6-2, 6-3 singles victory.
