NEW YORK - No. 1 John Jay and No. 3 Brooklyn will meet in the final of the 2025 CUNY Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Championship Friday after semifinal victories Thursday evening.
The Bloodhounds advanced to the final for the third straight season with a 3-0 sweep of No. 4 Hunter, while the Bulldogs outlasted second-seeded Baruch for a 3-2 victory in the other semifinal.
John Jay and Brooklyn will meet at 6:30 pm Friday at Baruch's ARC Arena.

The Bloodhounds (22-6) swept Hunter (10-25) by scores of 25-23, 25-18, 25-19.
Sophomore
Jadyn Orava and freshman
Madison Mullan paced John Jay offensively, with Orava registering 15 kills and Mullan posting 13. Mullan hit .550 on the evening and also contributed three blocks, while Orava had seven digs.
Lizbeth Martinez had a team-high 11 digs for the Bloodhounds, while
Adrienne Xiao recorded 35 assists.
Emilia Cascapera added seven kills, while
Theresa Schmitt posted eight digs.
John Jay hit .212 on the evening while holding the Hawks to .106 hitting.
Amina Moummad led Hunter with 10 kills, while
Michelle Liu and
Lily Mattison added seven and six, respectively.
Madeline Snyder registered 23 assists and eight digs, while Moummad added seven digs.
John Jay reached the final for the third straight season, while Hunter sees a string of 14 straight finals reached dating back to 2010 snapped.
Brooklyn 3, Baruch 2 | Box Score
The Bulldogs (14-15) advanced past the Bearcats (11-15) by scores of 15-25, 25-22, 25-21, 19-25, 15-12.
After dropping the first set and falling behind 10-4 in the second set, Brooklyn rallied to take the second and third sets. After Baruch prevailed in the fourth, the Bulldogs trailed 11-10 in the fifth before closing the set and the match on a 5-1 run.
Ella Snobar paced the Bulldogs with 13 kills, hitting .333 on the contest. She also added five blocks.
Danielle Fuxman added nine kills, hitting .286.
Olive Carroll recorded 13 digs, with
Malia Reyes finishing with 10.
Amra Mulic recorded 16 assists, with Reyes adding 13. Brooklyn recorded 10 blocks on the night, with
Ayatallah Elkotby also recording five (one solo).
Brooklyn is making its first finals appearance since 2021. The Bulldogs downed Hunter 3-2 for their second-ever title that season.
Baruch was led by
Dibjot Kaur and
Karolina Lundqvist, who finished with 19 and 17 kills, respectively.
Karen Pozo Castro notched 41 assists and also had eight of the Bearcats' 18 service aces for the match.
Pei Qiong Ren was one of four Bearcats with double-digit digs, finishing with a team-high 20, while Pozo Castro notched 16.
Brooklyn hit .167 on the evening, with the Bearcats hitting .123.
