NEW YORK - No. 3 Brooklyn and No. 4 Hunter posted first round victories in the 2025 CUNY Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Championship Tuesday night. The Bulldogs swept No. 6 Lehman 3-0, while the Hawks shook off a first set loss to drop No. 5 CCNY 3-1.
Brooklyn will face second-seeded Baruch, while Hunter will take on No. 1 seed John Jay in Thursday's semifinals, with both matches beginning at 6 pm at higher seeds.

Brooklyn (13-15) downed the Lightning (4-15) by scores of 25-16, 25-16, 25-21.
Saule Okeke-Ziburkus paced the Bulldogs with six kills, with
Ruti Joshi and
Ella Snobar adding four apiece. Joshi had six assists and six service aces as Brooklyn finished with 15 aces on the night.
Malia Reyes notched a team-high 17 digs for the hosts, who held the Lightning to -.024 hitting on the evening.
Alanis Vasquez racked up 11 kills for Lehman, while
Ayah Hamdaoui recorded a team-high 13 digs.

Hunter (10-24) advanced past CCNY (7-20) by scores of 24-26, 25-19, 25-16, 26-24.
Amina Moummad racked up 17 kills for the Hawks, who also got 12 from
Lily Mattison. Moummad also had six aces and four blocks, with
Ana Duran recording six blocks.
Madeline Snyder finished with 36 assists for Hunter, which hit .167 on the night.
Gia Skenderi paced the Beavers with 20 kills, who also got 10 from
Ivanna Zamora Sanchez.
Rosalynda Russo had a team-high 16 digs for CCNY, with Skenderi adding 14.
Danuzia Caixeta Palmer handed out 37 assists for the Beavers, who hit .125.
