INDIANAPOLIS - 2025 CUNY Athletic Conference women's volleyball champion John Jay will travel to No. 14 Virginia Wesleyan University to take on the host Marlins in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship on Thursday, November 20.
The Bloodhounds (23-6) captured their second straight CUNYAC title Friday with a 3-1 win over Brooklyn and will be making their second straight NCAA appearance. Last season John Jay fell 3-0 to Washington & Lee. The Bloodhounds enter the NCAAs after going 7-0 in conference play and come in on a five-match win streak.
No. 14 Virginia Wesleyan (31-2) finished 11-0 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play but fell to Washington & Lee 3-2 in the conference semifinals. The Marlins are making their second straight NCAA appearance and third all-time.
Thursday's John Jay-Virginia Wesleyan winner will face the winner of a first round game between Washington & Lee (23-9) and Berry (24-7) on Friday, with the regional final set for Saturday, November 22. The regional also features Christopher Newport (24-7) facing Cortland (24-7) and defending national champion Juniata (27-5) taking on Grove City (20-8).
