CUNYAC Women’s Swimming and Diving Swimmer of the Week
Joyce Wong, Baruch

Joyce Wong turned in a strong performance in the pool for the Bearcats across three meets and four opponents. Over the course of the week, Wong recorded six first-place finishes while breaking an individual school record. Against Hunter, she set a new program record in the 200-meter I.M. (2:35.47). In addition, she helped the Bearcats break the school record in the 200-meter medley relay (2:18.40).

Kira Chen had a solid week in the pool for the Bearcats across three meets and four opponents, totaling eight total victories, highlighted by record-breaking performances. She set the new freshman standard in the 50-meter backstroke (33.31), 50-meter butterfly (33.57), 50-meter backstroke (33.31) and 100-meter backstroke (1:12.10) events. In addition, she broke school and freshman records in the 200-meter medley relay (2:18.40) and 100-meter butterfly (1:04.58).
The 2023 CUNYAC Swimming & Diving Championships is scheduled for Jan. 27-29 at Lehman College.
