CUNYAC/HSS Women's Tennis Player of the Week
Allie Jackson-Hing, Baruch
Junior/Rosedale, NY/Brooklyn Tech

Allie Jackson-Hing has been named the CUNYAC/HSS Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the week of 9/28-10/4.  Jackson-Hing continues her successful season after capturing a victory in her singles and doubles matches this past week.  The junior defeated Staten Island’s top player in an impressive 6-2, 6-2 match.  For her doubles match, Jackson-Hing teamed up with Daria Vasekina and captured an 8-2 win.  The two are currenly undefeated when playing together with a 4-0 record.  The captain seeks to continue leading the Bearcats to the top of CUNYAC.

CUNYAC/HSS Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week

Isabel Arias has been named the CUNYAC/HSS Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week for the week of 9/28-10/4.  This is the fourth consecutive week that Arias has earned this honor.  The freshman won both her singles and doubles matches this past week.  In her singles match, she won 6-1,6-4 and teamed up with Michelle Kushnir to win their doubles match 8-2.  Arias is currently having an spectacular season with a overall record of 7-0 and 4-0 in CUNYAC in singles.

In their only match of the week, Women's Tennis fell 9-0 to conference opponent Brooklyn. Next up, they face John Jay on Friday, October 9.

CSI has two of their last three and had two events canceled this weekend due to the rains. This week they are home to Ramapo at 4pm, then away at William Paterson on Thursday, before taking on Lehman on Saturday, and Rutgers-Camden on Sunday.

The Women's Tennis team is off to their best start ever in team history at 7-0 overall and 4-0 in CUNYAC. The team is motivated and was disappointed the weather postponed their match at Kean on Saturday. The team is now focusing on their next CUNYAC match on Columbus Day vs rival Hunter.

The Women's Tennis team will travel to Long Island to battle St. Joseph's on Wednesday, at 5:30 p.m. On Thursday, Lehman and Brooklyn will resume the CUNYAC match, that was suspended by rain last week, at 10:00 a.m. on the APEX Tennis Courts.

Brooklyn pulled to an even 2-2 in league play after knocking off CCNY 9-0 on Sunday. Ievgeniia Kostenko led the team with wins at #1 singles and teamed with Suraya Maenhout to win at #1 doubles.
