Division III Week Profile: Jamecia Forsythe

The third annual celebration of Division III Week is upon us! A part of the Division III Identity Campaign, the NCAA has delineated April 7-14 to honor all that is commendable about Division III student-athletes, including their efforts on the field of play, in the classroom, and in their community service endeavors.

The City University of New York Athletic Conference is pleased to feature two student-athletes and an administrator as part of the DIII Week commemoration.

The first profile of the week features Jamecia Forsythe, a senior women's basketball player from John Jay.

Forsythe is one of just four student-athletes in the last twelve seasons in the CUNY Athletic Conference to have recorded 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds.

Forsythe is the Bloodhounds career leader in rebounds and is currently second in points since 2002. She trails Jessica Lirio ('07-'11) who recorded 1,527. She is the 77th player in CUNYAC to reach 1,000 points and finished tie for 28th all-time.
