Alexa Charles Voted ECAC Player of the Year, Three Named All-ECAC

2025-26 All-ECAC Release

DANBURY, Conn. 
- Hunter College senior Alexa Charles was named the 2025-26 ECAC Division III women's basketball Player of the Year, it was announced on Wednesday.  Charles, along with John Jay junior Michaela Lattimore, were named First Team All-ECAC, while Heaven Figueroa of Lehman was selected to the Second Team.

Charles, the CUNYAC Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference, led Division III in both points per game (30.9) and steals per game (6.2) while also recording 8.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.  Shooting 50.3% overall from the floor, Charles was also an 81% free throw shooter and wrapped up her standout career as the all-time leading scorer in CUNYAC history as well as fourth all-time in Division III with 2,693 points, while she is the division's record holder for career steals with 576.

Lattimore, a First Team All-Conference selection, averaged 15.6 points and 14.8 rebounds for the Bloodhounds this season, ranking fourth in the conference in scoring and first in rebounding.  She ranks No. 6 nationally in rebounds per game, while her 23 double-doubles in 26 games rank third in Division III.  Lattimore enters her senior season in 2026-27 with 933 points and 775 rebounds.

Figueroa, a First Team All-Conference choice for the second straight season, ranked second in the conference in scoring with her 18.3 ppg average, while also recording 8.3 rebounds, 5.7 steals and 4.0 assists per game.  She ranks second nationally in steals per game and total steals (147).  She finished her two seasons in a Lightning uniform with 1,096 points, 269 steals, 434 rebounds and 194 assists.
