Alexa Charles Earns All-America Status from D3hoops.com, WBCA

D3hoops.com All-Americans | WBCA All-Americans

NEW YORK 
- Hunter College women's basketball senior Alexa Charles was selected as an All-American by both D3hoops.com and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) this week.  Charles was named a D3hoops.com Fourth Team All-American, while she earned Honorable Mention status from the WBCA.

Charles is just the second D3hoops.com All-American in both conference and Hunter program history, joining Suzette Henry, who was selected to the Second Team in 1997-98.

Charles, the CUNYAC Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference as well as the ECAC Division III Player of the Year, led Division III in both points per game (30.9) and steals per game (6.2) while also recording 8.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.  Shooting 50.3% overall from the floor, Charles was also an 81% free throw shooter and wrapped up her standout career as the all-time leading scorer in CUNYAC history as well as fourth all-time in Division III with 2,693 points, while she is the division's record holder for career steals with 576.
