CUNYAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week
Joshua Bey, Baruch (Fr., Harlem, N.Y.)
Bey went unbeaten in singles and doubles action last week. He started with a conference sweep at York, winning at second doubles 6-0 and 6-0, 6-0 in third singles. Three days later, in a non-conference win at Farmingdale State, he won 6-4 at third doubles and 6-2, 6-0 at fifth singles to finish off the week.
CUNYAC Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week
Ryan Huang, Baruch (Fr., Middle Village, N.Y.)
Huang was undefeated last week, with wins over York and Farmingdale State. He started against York, winning 6-1 at first doubles and 6-0, 6-0 at fourth singles. Three days later at Farmingdale State, he helped record a 7-0 shutout, winning 6-1 at second doubles and 6-3, 6-2 to win at sixth singles.
CUNYAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week (Honorable Mention)
Alexander Hagiu, Hunter (Jr., New York, N.Y.)
Hagiu led the Hawks to a key 4-3 conference win over Brooklyn. He was a three-set winner at No. 2 singles and teamed with Nicholas Cooper for a win at first doubles.
