NEW YORK - Following the winter 2025-26 championship season, Hunter College has surged to the lead in the 2025-26 CUNY Athletic Conference Commissioner's Cup standings. Six championships were contested in the winter and 12 of the 18 conference championships have been decided to date.
Hunter earned points in four of six sports competing in the winter and currently has 85 points. It captured the regular season and conference championship in women's swimming and diving, and earned the conference tournament championship in women's basketball after finishing second in the regular season standings. The Hawks also finished second in both the men's and women's indoor track and field standings.
Brooklyn moved into second in the standings after sitting third in the fall and has accumulated 58 points. The Bulldogs were regular season champions in women's basketball and finished runner-up in the conference tournament. Brooklyn also placed second in the men's basketball regular season standings, and finished second in both the regular season and at the conference championship in men's swimming and diving.
Defending Commissioner's Cup winner Baruch sits third, just 1.5 points in back of Brooklyn with 56.5 points. The Bercats were regular season champions and conference championship winners in men's swimming and diving, while placing second in both the regular season and conference championship in women's swimming and diving. Baruch also finished tied for third during the men's basketball regular season.
John Jay, which led the standings following the fall, was third in both the regular season and at the conference championship in women's swimming and diving and has 49 points. Lehman sits fifth with 33 points after winning the regular season and tournament titles in men's basketball, coupled with a third place finish in the women's basketball regular season.
CCNY reached the conference championship game in men's basketball and also placed third in both the men's and women's indoor track and field championships. Medgar Evers captured its third straight titles in both men's and women's indoor track and field. York tied for third place in men's basketball during the regular season.
