CUNYAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week
Amar Ndiaye, Lehman (Sr., F, Harlem, N.Y.)
Ndiaye averaged 20.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game in a 2-0 week for the Lightning while shooting 75% (15-20) from the floor. He finished with 25 points on 10-14 shooting and 13 rebounds in a road win at Medgar Evers, then notched 15 points and nine rebounds, going 5-6 from the floor, in a home triumph against CCNY Friday.
CUNYAC Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week
JP Maaba, Hunter (Fr., G, Queens, N.Y.)
Maaba recorded 20.0 points, 7.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game in a pair of games for the Hawks last week. He scored 24 points and dished out six assists, then tallied 16 points, eight assists and five rebounds against York on Friday. Shot 46.2% (12-26) overall and 40% (4-10) from three over two games.
CUNYAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week (Honorable Mention)
Abdoulaye Gueye, Brooklyn (Jr., G, Bronx, N.Y.)
Gueye averaged 18.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in a 2-0 week for the Bulldogs. He registered a career-high 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds in Brooklyn's overtime win over Baruch Wednesday, then scored 18 points while adding four rebounds and four assists in a win against Medgar Evers Friday.
