CUNYAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week
Medina Kuc, Brooklyn (Jr., Brooklyn, N.Y.)
Kuc didn't lose a game in singles on the week, scoring a (6-0, 6-0) victory at the No. 2 slot against York on Tuesday before rolling to a straight-set shutout (6-0, 6-0) at No. 3 singles at Albertus Magnus on Saturday. She also picked up a pair of victories at No. 1 doubles on the week.
CUNYAC Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week
Aniyah James, Brooklyn (Fr., Brooklyn, N.Y.)
James went undefeated on the week in singles and doubles, helping Brooklyn to a 2-0 mark in conference play for the week. She scored a 6-0 victory in No. 2 doubles before winning (6-0, 6-4) in No. 1 singles against York at home on Tuesday. James closed out the week with a 6-0 victory in No. 2 doubles and a (6-0, 6-1) win at No. 1 singles at Albertus Magnus on Saturday.
CUNYAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week (Honorable Mention)
Jade Schonfeld, Hunter (Gr., Glastonbury, Conn.)
Schonfeld continued to lead the Hawks this week, with a 7-0 team win against Lehman. She teamed up with Isabella Tchij at No. 1 doubles for a 6-1 win, followed by a nearly perfect win at No. 3 singles, taking the match in straight sets at 6-0, 6-1.
