JAMAICA, N.Y.
- Championship Most Valuable Player Sofia Soler totaled two goals and an assist as top-seeded John Jay earned its second straight CUNY Athletics Conference women's soccer championship and fifth in six seasons with a 3-0 win over No. 3 seed CCNY Saturday afternoon at York College.

The Bloodhounds (11-2-3) earn the CUNYAC's automatic berth into the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship and will learn their next opponent on Monday at 11 am via the NCAA.com selection show.  The Beavers see their season come to a close at 4-8-3.

John Jay scored twice in a span of 4:37 early in the first half to build a 2-0 lead.  In the 16th minute, Katy Shurson took a long right-to-left corner from Soler and knocked it off a CCNY defender and in to put the Bloodhounds on the board.  At the 19:46 mark, John Jay was awarded a penalty kick, which Soler buried for the 2-0 advantage.

Soler's second goal of the game came with 10 seconds remaining in the contest and was assisted by Emma Fisher.

John Jay outshot CCNY 17-8, with Bloodhound keeper Anina Gut making four saves to earn her fourth shutout of the season.  CCNY's Laila Issa made six saves in goal.  Sara Rodriguez had a team-high four shots for the Beavers.

John Jay's five CUNYAC women's soccer tournament titles are second in league history, behind Staten Island's nine.
