FLUSHING, N.Y. – The City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) has announced its Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll for the 2024 Spring semester, handing out 544 citations for academic excellence.
The CUNYAC Winter/Spring Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll is constructed with student-athletes across 13 member campuses who participate in a varsity-level sport and own a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better on a 4.0 scale. The list includes sports that conducted their championship in the winter or spring (men's & women's basketball, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's indoor and outdoor track & field, men's volleyball, baseball, and softball).
"Our CUNYAC student-athletes continue to rise to the challenge and thrive in the classroom," said CUNYAC Associate Director for Operations Kim Wright. "Congratulations to our honorees as they continue to put in championship performances on and off their respective playing surface.”
Hunter produced a conference-leading 122 honorees among the senior colleges, followed by John Jay (78) and CCNY (74). Baruch finished with 70 citations, followed by Brooklyn (57), Lehman (53), Medgar Evers (23) and York (14).
Queensborough finished with 19 honorees to pace the community colleges, followed by BMCC (13), Kingsborough (10), Bronx (6) and Hostos (5).
24 student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 grade-point average. Dating back to the Fall, a grand total of 902 student-athletes earned CUNYAC Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll recognition.
