Eight Queensborough Community College Tigers, four men and four women, earned USTFCCCA (United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) All-America honors on day one of the 2024 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championships in Utica, New York.
On the women's side, the Queensborough 4x800m Relay team of Julianne Cossin, Manar Elnoor, Sheila Da Silva, and Kayla Hernandez finished sixth overall in a time of 11:48.44 to earn USTFCCCA All-America honors. Additionally, Julianne Cossin also earned All-America honors in the Triple Jump by finishing fifth overall with a mark of 9.92.
As a team, the QCC women stand in eighth place overall after day one with a total of seven team points.
For the men, the 4x800m Relay team of Benjamin Wade, Renaediaz Miller, Williams Guzman, and Juan Hernandez finished sixth overall in a time of 8:45.30 to secure USTFCCCA All-America honors.
As a team, the QCC men stand in twelfth place overall after day one with a total of three team points.
Both teams will return to action on Friday for a full day of competition.
