FLUSHING, N.Y. – City College of New York has been chosen as the league’s top team on the 2022 CUNYAC Baseball Preseason Poll, voted upon by the league’s head coaches.
 
The Beavers were chosen to finish first, being awarded 13 points and two first-place votes. Prior to the 2021 season cancellation, CCNY played in just eight games in 2020 before having the season abruptly end due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
Baruch was picked second with 12 points and the two remaining first-place tallies. Lehman finished third with 9 points, followed by John Jay with six.
 
The 2022 CUNYAC Baseball Championship is scheduled for May 6-7 at Maimonides Park.
