Baruch's Flynn and Lau Sweep First Weekly Awards

Ryan Flynn, the senior captain, has been named the first CUNYAC/Emblem Health Men's Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week after anchoring the 200 medley men's relay, with a time of 1:53.50, that won the race and broke the school record.  Flynn won the 50 Freestyle with the school record time of 24.90 and was a member of the winning 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:42.79 to end the meet and seal the victory. Baruch defeated William Paterson for the first time with a score of 120-80.
 
CUNYAC/Emblem Health Men’s Swimming Rookie of the Week
Jacky Lau, Baruch
Freshman/Brooklyn/Fort Hamilton
Baruch freshman, Jacky Lau has been named the first CUNYAC/Emblem Health Men's Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week for the 2012-2013 season. As the first leg of the four man relay, Lau broke the freshman and school record by winning the 50 backstroke with a time of 28.59. He followed up winning the 200 I.M. with a time of 2:20.42 then won the 100 Backstroke with a freshman time of 1:04.85.  Baruch defeated William Paterson for the first time with a score of 120-80.
