Boyukliev Tabbed as Athlete & Huggins as Rookie

CUNYAC/US Army Men’s Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week

Radoslov Boyukliev is named CUNYAC/US Army Men’s Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the week after registering two CTC qualifiers in the Greater Boston Track Club Invitational (Jan. 22). The freshman from the Bronx finished fifth in the finals of the Shot Put with a mark of 12.94m, currently ranking him third in the conference. He also finished sixth in the Weight Throw with a mark of 13.89 meters, putting him at the top of the CUNY Athletic Conference. Both throws qualified Boyukliev for the CTC Indoor Track and Field Championships on February 11.

 

CUNYAC/US Army Men’s Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week

ALBERT HUGGINS, CCNY

Junior/Brooklyn, NY /Ivanna Eudora Kean High

Top rookie goes to Albert Huggins after his season best performance in the Greater Boston Track Club Invitational (Jan. 22) this past week. The junior finished 10th place in the 60 meter with a season best time of 7.30, currently ranking him third in the conference. He finished 11th in the Long Jump with again a season best of 5.60 and 12th in the Triple Jump with a mark of 10.95. In the 200 meter dash he finished 29th place with another season best time of 24.27. Huggins was also a member of the 4x200m relay. The Beavers’ return to action at the Bison Open and Multi Invitational on January 28.
