Medgar Evers' Reco Griffith Qualifies for 100-Meter Dash Final at NCAA Championships

LA CROSSE, Wisc.
- Medgar Evers sophomore men's track and field sprinter Reco Griffith qualified for the men's 100-meter dash final at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships Friday evening at Veterans' Memorial Stadium.

Running in the second of three heats, Griffith placed third with a time of 10.41 seconds, just 0.05 seconds off his personal best of 10.36 seconds.  With the top finisher from each of three heats, as well as the next six fastest times, moving on to the finals, Griffith's time was good for fifth overall in the field of 22 runners.

On Thursday, Griffith competed in the 200-meter prelims, placing 18th overall with a time of 21.63 seconds.

The 2026 CUNYAC Men's Track Performer of the Year, Griffith competes in the 100-meter dash finals Saturday at 4:40 pm Eastern.
