Top-Seeded Baruch Wins Eighth Straight CUNYAC Men's Tennis Championship

FLUSHING, N.Y. - Top-seeded Baruch College captured its eighth straight CUNY Athletic Conference men's tennis championship with a 4-0 win over second-seeded Hunter College in the finals of the 2026 CUNYAC/HSS Men's Tennis Championship Thursday afternoon indoors at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

With the win, the Bearcats (15-2) earn the conference's automatic berth into the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championship and will learn their next opponent and destination on Monday, May 4 at 12:30 pm via selection show on NCAA.com.

Dating back to the 2016-17 season, Baruch has now won 58 matches against conference foes including regular season and postseason.  The Bearcats are also unbeaten against Division III competition this season. (15-0).  The Bearcats' title is a conference-record 19th in men's tennis.

Baruch earned the doubles point by winning the first two matches.  At No. 2 doubles Sam Park and Ryan Huang were 6-0, winners, while Joshua Bey and Anlact Huynh posted a 6-0 win at No. 3.  CUNYAC Player of the Year Juan Mendoza and Philipp Roeder led No. 1 doubles 4-1 when doubles play was halted.

Bey captured the first singles point for the Bearcats with his straight-set win at No. 4, before Park was a 6-0, 6-2 winner at No. 2.  Mendoza clinched the match for Baruch with a 6-1, 6-0 victory in the top spot.

Mendoza was named the Championship MVP for a second straight season.
