New Jersey City Claims Top Seed in 2026 CUNYAC Men's Volleyball Championship

 - New Jersey City University has claimed the top seed in the 2026 CUNY Athletic Conference Men's Volleyball Championship following the conclusion of regular season play Tuesday night.  The Gothic Knights (8-0), along with second-seeded Hunter (6-2), earn first round byes and will host semifinal contests on Thursday, April 9.

Hunter, Baruch and John Jay all tied for the second spot in the final conference standings, with the Hawks earning the No. 2 seed based on conference tiebreak criteria.  The defending champion Bearcats earned the No. 3 seed due to their head-to-head win over the Bloodhounds, and will host one first round game on Tuesday, April 7, while fourth-seeded John Jay will also host a first round game Tuesday evening.

Brooklyn (4-4) is the No. 5 seed and heads to John Jay, while sixth-seeded Lehman (3-5) travels to Baruch.

The championship match of the 2026 CUNYAC Men's Volleyball Championship is set to take place on Friday,April 10 at 6:30 pm at the Hunter College Sportsplex.  The 2026 CUNYAC men's volleyball champion earns an automatic berth into the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball Championship.

Tuesday, April 7 - First Round (at higher seeds)
No. 6 Lehman (3-5) at No. 3 Baruch (6-2)
No. 5 Brooklyn (4-4) at No. 4 John Jay (6-2)

Thursday, April 9 - Semifinals (at higher seeds)
John Jay/Brooklyn winner at No. 1 New Jersey City (8-0)
Baruch/Lehman winner at No. 2 Hunter (6-2)

Friday, April 10 - Final
Semifinal winners - 6:30 pm (at Hunter Sportsplex)
