CUNYAC Men's Indoor Track and Field Track Athlete of the Week
Reco Griffith, Medgar Evers (So., Barbados, West Indies)
Griffith took first place at the Wesleyan Invitational in the 60-meter dash, running a time of 6.99 seconds, currently the top time in the conference. He followed up with a second-place finish in the 200, posting a time of 23.07 seconds (22.67 converted).
CUNYAC Men's Indoor Track and Field Field Athlete of the Week
Omari Hinds, Medgar Evers (So., Brooklyn, N.Y.)
Hinds set a new program record and the top mark in the conference to date in the high jump with a mark of 1.95 meters at the Wesleyan Invitational, placing fourth overall. His mark is also currently tied for No. 30 in Division III. Hinds also posted marks of 11.08 meters in the triple jump and 6.09 meters in the long jump.
CUNYAC Men's Indoor Track and Field Rookie of the Week
Mustapha Abubakar, CCNY (Fr., Yonkers, N.Y.)
Competing at the Saint Thomas Aquinas Spartan Invitational at Ocean Breeze, Abubakar posted a time of 22.69 seconds in the 200-meter dash, currently the No. 2 time in the CUNYAC. He also ran a time of 7.11 seconds in the 60-meter dash,
CUNYAC Men's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week (Honorable Mention)
Pharell Fowler, Medgar Evers (Fr., Jamaica, West Indies)
At the Wesleyan Invitational, Fowler ran a time of 7.10 seconds in the 60-meter dash to place second behind teammate Reco Griffith, while he placed third in the 200 with a converted time of 22.76 seconds (23.16). Fowler also posted a 400-meter time of 1:01.13 (59.19 converted).
