CUNYAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week
Rene Lopez, Lehman (Jr., MF, New Rochelle, N.Y.)
Lopez notched a pair of game-winning goals in a 2-0 week for the Lightning. He netted the game winner in a 2-0 victory over Old Westbury. Lopez also netted the game winner, in the final minute of the contest, over previous unbeaten Delaware Valley 3-2.
CUNYAC Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Week
Andrew Gavrilov, Brooklyn (Fr., F, Staten Island, N.Y.)
Gavrilov claimed Rookie of the Week honors for the second time this season after scoring twice in a 3-0 win over St. Joseph's Brooklyn on Wednesday. Gavrilov has found the back of the net five times in five contests.
CUNYAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week (Honorable Mention)
Andreas Kotronis, Baruch (So., F/M, Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.)
Kotronis totaled a goal and two assists in a 1-1 week for the Bearcats. He totaled a goal and an assist in Wednesday's 4-3 setback to Farmingdale State, scoring a go-ahead goal that put Baruch in front 3-2. He also assisted on the game-winner in a 1-0 win over Purchase Friday.
