CUNYAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week
Josh Clemas, John Jay (Jr., F, Auckland, New Zealand)
Clemas scored four goals over his first two games for the Bloodhounds. In Friday's opener at Mount Saint Vincent, he scored five minutes into the game, then added a second goal with two minutes left. He had both John Jay goals against Purchase Saturday, converting a penalty kick in the 17th minute and scoring again in the 88th minute.
CUNYAC Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Week
Andrew Gavrilov, Brooklyn (Fr., F, Staten Island, N.Y.)
Gavrilov scored Brooklyn's lone goal of the game in his collegiate debut against Maritime on Friday, scoring on his lone shot of the contest in the 61st minute.
CUNYAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week (Honorable Mention)
Georgios Tsiakas, Hunter (Fr., F, Whitestone, N.Y.)
Tsiakas netted his first collegiate goal in his Hunter debut against St. Joseph's (Long Island) on Saturday, pulling the Hawks within 2-1 late in the first half. He led Hunter with four shots, three on goal.
