CSCAA RELEASE
FLUSHING, N.Y. - The Hunter College women's swimming and Lehman College men's swimming teams were honored by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as Scholar All-America Teams for Fall, 2025. The Hawks and Lightning were two of 781 teams honored across all levels of collegiate swimming.
To earn this prestigious recognition, teams were required to achieve a grade point average (GPA) above 3.0 during the Fall 2024 semester. Of the selected teams, an impressive 654 recorded a GPA of 3.30 or higher, qualifying them for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.
The Hawks earned a team GPA of 3.44, while the Lightning posted a 3.15 in the fall.
Samantha Barany, Executive Director of the CSCAA, commented on the impressive accomplishments, saying, "The commitment to academic excellence demonstrated by these teams is truly admirable. It is inspiring to see student-athletes excel both in the pool and in the classroom. The CSCAA takes great pride in honoring and celebrating their dedication and achievements.
The CSCAA extends its congratulations to all the teams and student-athletes on their remarkable achievements in the classroom during the Fall 2024 semester. This commitment to excellence is a testament to the student-athletes' dedication to both their sport and academic pursuits.
