RESULTS
PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Baruch College men's swimming team captured its first-ever title at the Metro Swimming Championships held Friday through Sunday at Rutgers University. The Bearcats totaled 1,567 points to outdistance second place Division II member Roberts Wesleyan, who collected 1,238 points.
Brooklyn finished fourth with 670 points, while Lehman placed seventh with 228 points.
Baruch captured five individual wins and four relay triumphs en route to the crown.
Youssef Elkhouly, the 2025 CUNYAC Men's Swimmer of the Year, took gold in the 50 freestyle (21.08) and the 100 backstroke (53.29) while grabbing second in the 100 freestyle (45.92).
Ramiel Fayngersh was victorious in the 200 freestyle (1:46.83) and the 200 breaststroke (2:05.93).
Michael Guzman claimed victory in the 200 butterfly (1:58.99).
The Bearcats' 200 freestyle (1:26.02), 400 free (3:09.85), 800 free (7:10.78) and 400 medley (3:31.21) relays were all victorious on the weekend.
Michael Kravets of Brooklyn placed first in the 500 freestyle (4:56.69), while coming home second in the 1650 free (17:20.92).
Lehman's
Jefferson Tejera finished third in both the 100 freestyle (48.42) and the 200 free (1:48.79).
Ronald Sanchez took second for the Lightning in the 200 backstroke (1:57.52) and third in the 100 butterfly (52.48).
Baruch head coach
Charles Lampasso was named the Metro Coach of the Year.
