CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS
BRONX, N.Y. (Feb. 4, 2024) – The Hunter College Hawks successfully defended their title for a fourth consecutive season, winning the 2024 CUNYAC Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship at Lehman’s APEX Center.
The Hawks produced a strong weekend, accumulating 277 points. Over the course of the three-day competition, Hunter produced 10 gold medal performances.
Kiana Guarino turned in yet another strong performance on the final day, winning gold in the 200-yard backstroke (2:09.78) and 400-yard freestyle relay (3:50.25) events. Guarino totaled six gold medals over the three-day meet and was named the championship’s Most Valuable Performer.

Hunter won three gold medals on the final day. In addition to victories in the 200 back and 400 free relay, Germayne Chau claimed gold in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:34.80, eight seconds faster than the second-place swimmer.
Baruch was the runner-up in the championship, totaling 170 points. On the final day of action, Kira Chen picked up a gold medal in the 200-yard butterfly, finishing in a time of 2:21.12, 15 seconds faster than the second-place finisher.
Brooklyn finished third at the championship, its best finish at the meet in program history, led by a pair of gold-medal performances by Erin Forrest. She won the 1650-yard freestyle in 19:59.50 and later won the 100-yard freestyle in 55.99.
The 2024 Metropolitan Conference Finals are scheduled for Feb. 16-18 at Rutgers University, followed by the ECAC Championship at the Naval Academy Mar. 1-3.
