CUNYAC Community College Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
Emily Kennedy, BMCC
So., Brooklyn, N.Y. / Benjamin Banneker Academy
 
Kennedy finished off her week by being the first Panther in nine seasons to post a triple-double with 16 points to go along with 10 rebounds and a career and game-high 10 assists in a dominant victory over Roxbury. Against Monroe-Bronx, Kennedy scored 15 points and dished out a team-high tied three assists.
 
CUNYAC Community College Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Week
Jayden Vega, Kingsborough
Fr., Brooklyn, N.Y. / Abraham Lincoln
 
Vega led Kingsborough to a pair of wins to improve to 12-2 on the season. Against Suffolk, the rookie finished with 17 points, four rebounds and four assists. Closing out the week at Dutchess, Vega finished with a game-high 22 points (9-13 FG) with five assists, four rebounds and two steals.

CUNYAC Community College Women’s Basketball Player of the Week (Honorable Mention)
Tionna Davis, Kingsborough
Fr., Brooklyn, N.Y. / School for Human Rights
 
Davis was solid in a 2-0 week for the Wave. Against Suffolk, Davis scored a game-high 27 points, five assists, three steals and three rebounds. Four days later at Dutchess, David produced 17 points, seven steals, five rebounds and four assists. 
 
The 2024 CUNYAC Community College Women’s Basketball Championship is scheduled to begin on
Tuesday, Feb. 13, with semifinal action at Borough of Manhattan Community College. The championship game is slated for Friday, Feb. 16.
 
ABOUT THE CITY UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK ATHLETIC CONFERENCE (CUNYAC)
The City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) is an NCAA Division III and NJCAA Division III conference with 14 members that reach across all five boroughs of New York City.
