Thomas Laino, Kingsborough

TJ Laino homered twice and walked three times over the course of Kingsborough’s doubleheader sweep of D2 Sullivan. He drove in three and scored four on the day. Behind the plate he also picked a runner off to end a Sullivan threat.

Manuel Ariza, Kingsborough

Manny Ariza pitched 5.0 shut-out innings, allowing four hits, and walked one while fanning seven in a 3-1 Kingsborough win over D2 Sullivan CC. 
 
CUNYAC Community College Rookie of the Week
Frank Cullen, Kingsborough
Fr., Staten Island, N.Y. / St. Peter’s Boys
 
Frank Cullen recorded a two-inning save against D2 Sullivan in a 3-1 Kingsborough win. He allowed two hits and struck out one to preserve the win. Earlier in the week against Region 19 powerhouse Brookdale, he struck out five in 3.0 innings out of the pen. 
 
The 2023 CUNYAC Community College Baseball Championship is scheduled for Monday, May 8 at 11:00am at Maimonides Park.
